We finally made it to the ever famous Barton Springs Pool. Jeff has been going here for as long as he can remember. It's very cool. It's a natural, spring-fed pool. Someone came along and put cement walls on the sides of it (still letting it flow and circulate down the river), put a couple life guards on duty and charged $3 (partly for cleaning) and wa-la...the biggest pool I've ever seen. We had a great time floating around on our $1.99 walmart floaties :) The water is so nice and cool in this Texas heat. Jeff was telling me that back in the seventies, he heard it was a pretty popular thing for women to come here topless. The funny thing is...five minutes later the myth was confirmed! Topless lady on parade!
